Welcome to my new blog about dog calendars! I love dogs so much that I needed to start a blog about dog calendars – so here we are! By trade I am a veterinarian, so I see all sorts of dogs all day long. In my office, I always have at least 3-4 calendars on the wall. It’s not because I just need a bunch of calendars to know what day it is – it’s because I love the doc pictures so much! I know, I know, I could just buy some posters and put them on the wall. But the thing I like best about dog calendars is that I get a different pooch every month of the year! With a poster, you only get one dog – until you decide to take it down.
What are some of my favorite breeds you might ask? Well, I really like them all. At home, I have four dogs – a lab, a cocker spaniel, and two “mutts”. Don’t call them a mutt though – they don’t like it The labs name is Barkley, the cocker spaniel is Bella, and the other two are Rover and Max. Max is probably the craziest one at all. Whenever someone comes to the house, Max is the first one all over them as soon as they walk in the door. Our friends seem to really love Max’s big kisses!
So, what do I like to do when I’m not looking at calendars, dogs, or making animals feel better? Well, I volunteer for the Accelerated Cure Project (ACP), which is one of the reasons why I bought this site. I can’t wait for the next event here in Boston – the Ugly Holiday Sweater Party. I think I will have the ugliest sweater this year. It’s so bad I don’t even want to show anyone until the big day on December 5!. My husband says I look like a fool – but hey – I’ll do anything to raise money for the cure!
Anyways, thanks for reading my first post on this website. I’m still learning this wordpress thing, so hopefully as we go along, I’ll get better. Finally, I’m going to leave you with one of my favorite you tube videos on ACP.
